Video Vriday: NFL Silliness and the Trailer for ‘Rubber’

21 01 2011

Short and sweet, it’s Friday and I’m about ready to pass out from exhaustion.

I’m sure there are plenty of good videos from this week that I’m either forgetting about or just neglecting to post, but here are three of the funniest videos I saw this week. I highly recommend that you guys that don’t care about football still click the jump and catch the trailer for Rubber if you haven’t already. People don’t make that many movies about psychic tires named Robert too often.

Anyways, the top video is a Youtube video that lampoons Brett Favre and Lebron James simultaneously. First off, that guy playing Brett Favre is ridiculously good. Secondly, I have to admit that those penis jokes at the end of the video really made my day (especially Peyton Man-thing), but how the heck could they not include “Purple Peniseater”? Is that too obscure of a football reference, or is it just too raunchy for an R-rated internet video?

After the jump we have videos that compare Bart Scott of the New York Jets to Ollie the Weatherman and preview what should be the Blake Griffin of new movies.

Video Vriday: Cockatoo Sings ‘Let the Bodies Hit the Floor’

17 12 2010

What more is there to say? Drowning Pool, a generic 21st Century Nu Metal band, is best known for the constant repetition of that six letter phrase. And they got one-upped by a f*cking cockatoo. Honestly, I can hardly stand anything associated with Nu Metal, as (a) it all sounds the same, and (b) spelling ‘New’ as ‘Nu’ is about as clever as putting numbers in your movie title (I’m looking at you, 5 Fast 5 Furious). That said, the undisputed law of nature, which is “Exotic birds make everything better”, made me enjoy a song that’s really only been good for angsty teens and Youtube tributes to horror movie killers and 300.

Video Vriday: Be More Like This Man (Plus Bill and Ted’s Excellent Inception)

5 11 2010

This video… this may be one of the greatest things that I have ever seen in my life. The internet has exposed a lot of everyday dudes pulling stunts of extreme bad-assery, but none are quite as awesome as this Celtics fan. I have no clue whether it was pre-planned or not, and I don’t care. All I know is that this really happened at a Celtics game, and it is damn near the greatest video I have ever witnessed.

Oh, and there’s another video after the jump, a mash-up of the trailer to Inception with Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure. You could say, if I may use a pun, that the video is piss-poor… wait.
